El diumenge, 24 d’octubre, va celebrar-se la 2a de les trobades de la I Mostra de Nanos i Gegants valencians “Xicotets i Grans” a Bocairent (la Vall d’Albaida), organitzada per l’Institut Valencià de Cultura, amb col·laboració de la Federació Valenciana de Nanos i Gegants.
Vàren participar colles d’Ador, Alcoi, Benetússer, Bocairent, Borriana, Daimús i Ontinyent, a més de les colles locals Grup de Danses “Cardaors”, Xirimiters i Tabaleters de Sant Agustí i l’Aljub.
El primer escenari el trobem a la plaça de Bous de Bocairent, datada del 1843. Allà es va realitzar la plantada i la mostra de balls. A les 11 s’obria la mostra de la imatgeria convidada plantada a la plaça de Bous, i a les 12 començaren els parlaments i els balls de lluïment de cada colla convidada. A mesura que acabaven el seu ball, eixien en cercavila pels carrers del municipi fins arribar a la Plaça del Regne, punt final de la cercavila, on cada colla va rebre un recordatori.
Aquell dia assolellat va suposar la recuperació de la tradició, ja que es va poder tornar a les grans trobades, a les cercaviles i als dinars de germanor.
